Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is dedicated to amplifying AAPI creators and I have massive love for the team at Mellows and their cannabis-infused marshmallows. These Brown Butter Sage & Smoky Vanilla 100mg Super Mellows also won at the 2021 Emerald Cup Awards, which was well deserved. They’re also phenomenal in a toasty brown butter rice krispies treat.

If you’re not in California and don’t have access to these edibles, you can replace some of the butter in the recipe for your preferred dosage of Sous Weed butter.

Cannabis Infused Brown Butter Cocoa Rice Krispie
Dosage: 100mg total*

Ingredients:
• 5 Tbsp unsalted butter*
• 10 oz large marshmallows
• 1 package Super Mellows in Brown Butter Sage and Smoky Vanilla, optional *
• 1/4 tsp kosher salt
• 6 cups crisp rice cereal, cocoa flavored

Directions:

1. Lightly grease an 8” square pan and set aside.

2. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Watch the butter carefully as it browns and emits a nutty aroma. Turn the heat off and immediately add marshmallows, optional Mellows, salt, and stir until the marshmallows are mostly melted.

3. Add in the cocoa-flavored crisp rice cereal and gently fold until completely coated. Pour into prepared pan and press into an even layer.

4. Allow to cool completely before cutting into perfectly dosed squares.
   

* If you do not have access to 100mg Cannabis-Infused Mellows, replace some of the butter in the recipe with your preferred dosage of Sous Weed butter.
